The Glinda Palette Swatches

I recently did a review on The Glinda Palette, Click here to view the review. I was requested to show you guys swatches from the palette and what they looked like on my skin.

From left to right the colors are Tornado, Aura (iridescent blue half), Aura (iridescent white half), Magic, Illusion, Oz (Chrome Gold half), Oz (Chrome Silver Half), South. The top dotted color is the Super Saturated High Gloss Lip Color in Glinda and the bottom dotted color is the 24/7 Eye Pencil in Rockstar. 

The one thing to remember when looking at these swatches is that depending on your skin tone, undertone, etc.. the colors might look different on you and that's okay. But overall this is a very unique palette with great  variety of pastels, chrome finish colors and satin finish colors. The Glinda Palette by Urban Decay

As you all may know Disney recently came out with Oz the Great and Powerful featuring an amazing cast (James Franco, Mila Kunis, Michelle Williams, Zach Braff). With the launch of this new movie, Urban Decay has come out with two new limited edition eye shadow palettes based on the two witches of the movie. One of the palettes is based on Theodora and the other is based on Glinda. For my birthday I received the Glinda palette (pictured above) and I am in love. This palette comes with six unique shades, two of which are duo shades so technically it comes with eight amazing and very pretty colors. It also comes with a 24/7 Glide-On Eye Pencil in Rockstar and a Super Saturated High Gloss Lip Color in Glinda. The palette retails for $49.

I love the packaging of this palette. The packaging is a tin-like material, it's very thin and easy to store. It's also very cute. My favorite part of this palette is obviously the eye shadows. They are VERY pigmented yet very soft and feminine. The colors are also pretty build-able in pigment, given how pigmented they already are. My favorite colors are Aura (the duo colors in the middle of the first row. They are very iridescent and gorgeous), Magic (the pinkish color) and Illusion (the first color on the second row). If you are looking to buy either the Glinda or Theodora palette, do it now! They are limited edition and usually limited edition palette's sell for WAY more online once they're off the market.

This palette also came with an eye liner and a lip color. The eyeliner, Rockstar, is a very deep eggplant color. It's a very fun color as well as being very wearable. It's long lasting and it glides on smoothly. It has a very subtle shimmery finish without being glittery which I really like. The eyeliner retails for $19.

My least favorite thing about this palette was the Super Saturated High Gloss Lip Color in Glinda. Glinda is a very dark nude shade, that on my lips makes me look like I'm cold and dead. It is also the same color as Naked, just repackaged and renamed. I'm actually jealous of the color in the Theodora palette, I love reds and pinks. The lip pencil retails for $19.

Overall, this is a great product and I'm so happy to own it. It's pretty, feminine and fun. I would recommend both the Glinda and Theodora palettes!

Cover Girl Smoky Shadow Blast Review

A while back ago I had a coupon for Cover Girl cosmetics, I decided to buy two of the Smoky Shadow Blast cream sticks. I got one in Bronze Fire and one in Purple Plum. This product has a rounded end for all over the lid color and a slanted end for crease color. I was so excited to try this product, being a fan of stick shadows and thinking the cream eye shadow would be easier to apply and on the stick the colors looked really pretty.

However, I was very disappointed after I tried these on. I can honestly say that this is by far the worst make up product that I have ever bought. EVER. I hate it. I would not recommend it, it was a waste of money. The Smoky Shadow Blast has very little pigment and it is almost impossible to build up color. If you do attempt to build up color, the color that you just applied will smear and fade off. This product also does not last long at all: an hour tops, seriously. It also creases and fades almost immediately and ends up making your eyelids look very greasy. Another thing I noticed is that after a while the slanted tip will round out and you won't be able to create a precise crease color. In my opinion, this is a very low quality product. I tried this product multiple times with and without eye primer and the results were always the same... awful.

Forever 21 Eyelash Curler Review

About three months ago I purchased an eyelash curler at Forever 21 through their Love & Beauty line. I thought the eyelash curler was very cute with its rhinestones and teal color and for $3.80 I figured, why not?  It was thin, teal and had rhinestones along the curler. I didn't have one and I thought they all worked the same. Boy was I wrong.

This eyelash curler is very flimsy, loose and poorly made. It is not very wide or curved so it will not be suitable for all eye shapes, it definitely wasn't for mine. The eyelash curler kept pulling and pinching me and instead of curling my eyelashes upward and curved, it made them into an odd and clumped L shape. For a while I was thinking that I just did not know how to curl my own eyelashes. Well today I bought an eyelash curler at Target from the line ELF for only a dollar and the difference was immense. The ELF eyelash curler is sturdy, larger and very curved. When I used it, it curled my eyelashes perfectly without pinching, clumping or that awful L shape. Since the ELF eyelash curler was sturdier and bigger, it helped me grasp my eyelashes without pulling or pinching, it also comes with an extra padding for when you need to change the bottom pad of your curler.

Art Deco Nail Art Lacquer by L. A. Colors

I am a fan of L. A. Colors when it comes to nail polish stuff. They have a variety of colors that come on easy and smooth. Recently... as in today, I tried the Art Deco Nail Art Lacquer by L. A. Colors, which is basically a very fine tip nail polish or lacquer made for nail design.

When it comes to nail design, I am not the best by far, which is why I would not be able to do any complicated nail designs with this. It's a bit too fine tipped, I had to cut the very tip because it was basically two brush strands. After I cut it, it worked okay. Don't just take my word on this, I've seen other people who have designed some really cool stuff on their nails using this stuff. I personally want a nail design pen.

I was trying to go for animal print... BUT I got dots. I still like it.
